Sometimes we get so used to chaos, fear, anxiety, dread, depression, and self-doubt that it becomes our baseline, comfort zone, and security blanket. Then when things go well in recovery, it feels foreign, weird, unnatural, even uncomfortable to feel happy, content, accepted, healthy, aware. Recovery feels different because it is different. Allow yourself to grow, change, and do things differently. That is true healing.
