The perspective of having lived on multiple sides of addiction adds credibility without turning the piece into judgment or pity. I like how you balance the heartbreak with realistic hope instead of pretending recovery is clean or simple. The focus on small wins makes the message feel accessible to people who are still in the middle of it, not just those who made it out.

The way you explain ‘haunted by the living’… it’s exactly what it feels like.

I have a friend who battles with alcoholism and it has ruined his life, career , relationships and mental health, and I tried many times and he did too, but he keeps replaying and it’s so sad to see his life ruined. Sending love to everyone reading this who knows that heartbreak. 💔
